verses of encouragement

Discouragement is a feeling we can experience at times, but the good news is that the Lord tells us in those moments: – Be of good cheer! In Psalm 42, we find two verses that teach us how to confront this feeling when it tries to attack our lives.

Psalms 42:5-6 (NBV): 5 So why get discouraged? doWhy be discouraged and sad? Wait on God! I will still praise it again! He is my Savior and my God! 6 And yet here I am depressed and gloomy; but I will meditate on your goodness from this land where the Jordan River flows and where Mount Hermon and Mizar rise

These two encouraging verses also motivate us to reflect and ask ourselves: Why do we get discouraged? In these moments, it's helpful to take a moment and examine what's in our minds that is allowing our peace to be disturbed.

In addition, the Bible presents us with the best example where to put our eyes and our thoughts so that discouragement does not dwell in us, let's see this verse:

Hebrews 12:3 (DHH): Therefore, meditate on the example of Jesus, who suffered so much contradiction from sinners; therefore, do not get tired or discouraged.

So we must not allow discouragement to take over our thoughts and live within us. The Lord Jesus suffered everything, even discouragement, so that today we can emerge victorious over any situation that may try to make us faint and give up.

Today God tells you: take heart!, so cheer up with these verses of encouragement that the Bible presents us in the Old and New Testaments. And with them be renewed in the power, strength and love of the Lord.
