Most people find sunny days pleasant, with the absence of Clouds, the sun can shine and provide warmth. However, a sunny day does not always mean that it is hot, cold temperatures and wind can be present on sunny days.
On a cloudy day, the sun's rays cannot reach the Earth's surface. However, it can still be hot on a cloudy day because the cloud cover can trap heat near the ground. Almost always, rain is associated with clouds, a cloud is nothing more than a large mass of water vapor. As the temperature drops, the water vapor in the cloud cools and coalesces into raindrops.
Climate Classification
The climate of an area is the synthesis of the environmental conditions (soils, vegetation, climate, etc.) that have prevailed there over a long period of time. This synthesis involves averages of climate elements and measures of variability (such as extreme values and probabilities).
There are a few ways to classify climates. Plant hardiness zones often published with seed packets are a way of grouping world climates. That approach is based on winter minimum temperatures, but its usefulness is limited because a good climate map must include references to more than one meteorological variable.
With this classification it is possible to have a formalization of systems that recognize, clarify and simplify the climatic similarities and differences between geographic areas to improve the scientific understanding of the climate, the classification schemes are based on efforts that classify and group large amounts of environmental data to discover patterns between interacting climate processes.
All of these classifications are limited in that no two areas are subject to the same physical or biological forces in exactly the same way, creating an individual climate scheme follows a genetic or empirical approach.

Holdridge Life Zone Classification System
Holdridge's work aimed to correlate the world's plant formations with simple climate data, the system encompassing all major environmental factors at three hierarchical levels.
Level I – The Life Zone
This is determined by specific quantitative ranges of long-term average annual precipitation, annual average biotemperature, and potential evapotranspiration ratio. These are modified for montane systems.
Level II – The Association
This is an area of land that, under intact conditions, supports a distinctive natural community adapted through evolution to a specific narrow range of atmospheric conditions. No association can occur in more than one life zone.
Level III – The next stage
Also known as hedge type, which takes into account that the community may not be in your climate state.
Characteristics of Climate Types
Hot regions are normally closer to the equator. The climate is warmer there because the Sun's light is most directly on the equator, and the North and South Poles are cool because the Sun's light and heat are the least direct there. Here are the types of weather and their characteristics:

Their categories were based on temperature, the amount of precipitation, and the times of year when precipitation occurs. The categories were also influenced by a region's latitude – the imaginary lines used to measure our Earth from north to south from the equator.
Today, climatologists divide the Earth into roughly five main types of climates, listed below:
Paradise
In this hot, humid area, temperatures average above 64°F (18°C) year-round and there is more than 59 inches of precipitation each year.
There is abundant rainfall due to the active vertical lift or air convection that takes place there and during certain periods, thunderstorms can occur every day.
However, this belt still receives considerable sunlight and, with excessive rainfall, provides ideal growing conditions for lush vegetation. The main regions with a tropical climate are the Amazon Basin in Brazil, the Congo Basin in West Africa, and Indonesia. .
Rainforest or equatorial rainy climate
Temperatures in the rainforest are high throughout the year, with annual temperatures generally averaging around 28°C and showing little variation from day to day.
Tropical monsoon or subequatorial climate
Monsoons are land and sea breezes on a much larger scale. Unlike the humid equatorial climate, the monsoon climate is characterized by distinct wet and dry seasons associated with seasonal reversal of winds.
Wet season floods and dry season droughts are common. Generally, there are three seasons, which are: summer, winter and rainy season.
Tropical savannah or tropical climate damp
The savanna climate is characterized by high temperature regimes. Temperatures normally remain above 0°C for most savanna climates, the most distinctive feature of savanna regions is seasonal rainfall, which dominates during the three to five months of the summer season.
Climatic data shows that almost all savannahs are in regions with mean annual temperatures of 15°C to 25°C and annual rainfall of 81 cm.
Dry
These climate zones are very dry because moisture evaporates quickly from the air and there is very little precipitation. The Dry weather is the flow of wastewater in a sewage system, during dry weather with minimal infiltration, sewage systems rely on gravity to ensure that solids and liquids continue on their way to treatment plants.
Arid or desert climate
Low latitude arid deserts are found between latitudes 15º to 30º. This is where hot, dry air sinks into high-pressure areas, true deserts make up about 12 percent of the world's land.
semi climateáarid or steppe
Regions with semi-arid climates represent the second driest climate types in the world after deserts. Known for their dry and arid climates, semi-arid climates typically receive up to twice as much rainfall as desert regions, up to 20 inches per year.
Tempered
Temperate climates have a greater range of temperatures than tropical climates and can include extreme weather variations. Those climates, characterized by lower winter temperatures, are found south of the Tropic of Capricorn (in Paraguay, parts of Bolivia, Brazil, Argentina, and Chile).
Mediterranean climate
A Mediterranean climate is a climate that has dry summers that are hot, as well as winters that are cool or mild with moderate to high rainfall. Includes the climate of much of the land near the Mediterranean Sea.
Outside of the Mediterranean, this climate can be found only in fairly small areas, localized in many places that lie roughly between latitudes 30° to 45° north and south of the equator.
Oceanic or temperate climate
Oceanic climates are created by two wind patterns, the jet stream and the Gulf Stream, the jet stream blowing across the globe from west to east.
An oceanic climate is one of the climate types, which is also called a maritime climate. Here are some ways to identify an oceanic climate:
- There are not many types of climate changes between summer and winter, the seasons are mild, summers are cold, and winters are cooler but not very cold.
- Rain and snow throughout the year with no dry season.
- A lot of clouds.
Subhumid temperate climate
It is governed by tropical and polar air masses, the mid-latitudes are subject to cyclones; much of the precipitation in this belt comes from rising moist air along the fronts within these cyclones.

Continental climate is a kind of weather pattern where there are significant seasonal temperature differences, it can be defined as the general long-term weather condition such as air pressure, temperature, wind, precipitation and humidity that occur in a particular place.
temperate continental climate
Temperate continental climates are found on the continents in the northern hemisphere between 40 to 70 degrees, these areas are controlled by the fact that they are not located near the oceans where temperatures are moderate.
subpolar climate
The subpolar climate is only found in the Northern Hemisphere because there is no large land mass at the same latitude in the Southern Hemisphere. Like the humid continental climate, continentality plays an important role in determining the characteristics of the subpolar climate.
Polar
The polar climate is dry with some areas experiencing less than 250mm of precipitation a year, with temperatures as low as -10°C.

One of the most outstanding characteristics of these types of climate is the firm wind, which can reach 60 miles per hour and are never absent, because there are trees to tear the gusts, another predominant characteristic of the tundra is the lack of precipitation.
Frigid or frigid weather
