The Pusha T Adidas Ozweego sneakers are out now. Rapper Pusha T released the second collection of his signature Ozweego sneakers this week, this time in collaboration with the video game Call of Duty. And the fan response hasn't been great . Just a week after Supreme's collaboration with Nike Air Force 1 , King Push presents us with sneakers that are sure to turn heads. While they don't have the price tag of Yeezys, they certainly don't have the same design.

Not only do these Pusha T Adidas Ozweego sneakers have a somewhat questionable design that's barely distinguishable from the original black and white Ozweegos, but they also have a retail price of $150. Are we looking at a quality product or a cheap joke?
The collaboration between the Daytona rapper (winner of the best hip-hop album of 2018) and Adidas dates back to late 2019, when Pusha T released the first batch of Ozweego sneakers. And while the shoes are selling well on StockX (a leading resale site for Supreme and other similar brands), the design of the Pusha T Adidas has been questionable from day one.

We can also read comments like “Adidas is going to flop with these” or “If you want people to laugh at you, wear them.” If we look at the rapper’s Instagram post, things don’t improve: “I love Push, but this is garbage,” is the mildest of the insults.
To be honest, the Pusha T Adidas OzweegoT sneakers remind us of those classic cheap sneakers from the corner store that our mothers always tried to foist on us whenever we suggested she buy us Air Force 1s. It's difficult to pinpoint the exact date when the issue of overpriced sneakers became the status quo. What we can do, however, is name one of the main culprits: Kanye West, the rapper of Christ.
If the Pusha T Adidas Call of Duty are pretty, we really don't understand anything anymore.
Kanye West wasn't the first rapper to partner with a brand ( that honor goes to Run DMC and their song "My Adidas "). But he was the first MC directly involved in the design of sneakers with a major brand (first Nike, then Adidas). A similar distinction can be given to Michael Jordan, the African American who truly launched this new segment of cool and expensive footwear.

Ten years ago, Kanye West launched the Nike Air Yeezy. This iconic sneaker model (these were, in our opinion, somewhat more stylish and daring) was followed by a second edition. After creative differences, he left Nike and signed with Adidas, where the whole thing (or rather, the whole shebang) really took off. Over the last decade, Adidas has made a fortune with Kanye West's Yeezys, despite (or perhaps because of) the extremely limited number of Yeezys that actually reached stores.

Although Adidas Yeezys have depreciated considerably in recent years (due to Adidas increasing stock, ending that spirit of exclusivity), in 2015 it was common to see auctions of sneakers designed by Kanye West reaching $1.500.
