Prayer to Saint Lucia to ask with fervor

  • The story of Saint Lucy reflects her sacrifice and resistance to social pressures to maintain her virginity and faith.
  • Despite suffering torture, Lucia remained steadfast and decided not to succumb to lust.
  • His miracle at the stake and his disappearance demonstrate his divine connection and Christian strength.
  • December 13 is celebrated by the faithful with prayers in his honor and devotion.

The story of Lucia of Syracuse is quite similar to those of other martyrs who offered their virginity to God until the end of days. Her parents promised to marry a pagan man who only wanted her sexually.

Recognizing that she was not to his liking, the man denounced Lucia before the Roman Prefect Pascasio as a sign of rejection of her integrity or marriage proposal. The woman was taken to trial to face the fury of Pascasio, who, offended, swore to apply the maximum penalty and suffering to Saint Lucia.

Among the punishments that Lucía faced was the brothel, until alleging the following words:

"Although the body is disrespected, the soul is not stained if it does not accept or consent to evil"

The Prefect immediately ordered his transfer to the house of perdition so that the men of the place could quench their passionate thirst with Santa Lucía. To the greater surprise, the soldiers were unable to move her from her post no matter how many unsuccessful attempts they made.

The only solution to destroy Lucia's integrity is through the stake. Again the saint endured the heat of her punishment, making it clear that it was not yet time to leave for the Kingdom of God.

«I have prayed to my Lord Jesus Christ so that this fire does not dominate me»

After exclaiming these words, Santa Lucia disappeared at the same time that she mitigated the fire in the trial. The soldiers realized that the woman did not suffer any harm despite the incessant attacks to destroy her honesty.

Since such events occurred on December 13, 300, all the faithful gathered in the Catholic Church to raise an important prayer to Saint Lucy, to be faithful devotees to any design of Almighty God.

PRAYER TO SAINT LUCIA

Having said that, we present to you some prayers in her honor that are effective in reaffirming her fidelity to her holy image.

O magnanimous Saint Lucy! From whose name it gives off the most beautiful meanings of infinite luminosity. On this occasion I bow before her holy presence to reaffirm my love for God, the Virgin Mary, her son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. Oh Hail Queen, illuminate my path in the face of evil, to clear feelings of hatred, envy, greed, resentment and any act that offends the Most High.

You who consecrated yourself at an early age in the Kingdom of Heaven, I ask you with great fervor for the health of my family, relatives and acquaintances. Under the power of the bonfire in which you were subjected, purify the sin of the world, turning men and women into good slaves of the Lord, just as Mary, the Virgin, proclaimed herself before the infinite power of the Father.

Committed in holy matrimony to a pagan man, whose refusal angered him, give each child of the Father the strength necessary to move forward. Oh Hail Luminous QueenProtect the path of all men who lie in sin. I pray for their salvation, so that they may enjoy eternity in paradise, the same place promised to all souls who have redeemed their sins.

Arrested and rebuked, oh Saint Lucia, who never gave up your dignity as a Christian, I solemnly ask you to follow the example that Christ himself taught us. Today I fervently ask you for all the blessed souls in purgatory, so that they may achieve eternal rest and escape from the dark darkness of purgatory. Oh Hail Queen, reach all her children the forgiveness of their sins.

Victim of torture and torment, who never succumbed to laments. Saint Lucia, my mother, our mother, remove from our hearts all signs of pain, affliction, guilt, sadness and heartbreak. She turns everything bad into infinite blessings. Oh Hail Queen, raise our fervor to comfortably defend the designs of the Holy Mother Church.

For your blood shed in your final judgment, which helped spread your testimony in the world. Under that same power I request blessings for the entire world. O Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, have mercy on all your children devoted to the most holy vestment of Lucia Siracusa, protect us from all evil and danger, on the people who yearn for our affliction.

You are light in the midst of darkness, you are calm before the turbulent waters, you are serenity before the incessant flames of fire. Oh divine light, oh Most Holy Lucia, pray for us for the forgiveness of sins. Oh Hail Queen, intercede before God, our Lord, to be worthy of his paradise, of that land promised to the noble souls who fulfilled their duty as great Christians.

We pray, Lord, that this message may reach us with the power I request today. We beseech you, Lord, that it may resonate throughout the world. O Hail Queen, who promised your virginity to the Father to be worthy of heaven, we venerate you with great fervor to be worthy of your bosom. With a noble and sincere heart, we invoke you with this prayer.

O mighty virgin, mirror of justice, save all those unjustly condemned. Hail from a terrifying judgment, just as you lived on a December 13th for the lust of a malefactor. We implore you, eternal mother, for all the innocent who are condemned. Illuminate your destiny with truth, righteousness, meekness and infinite blessings.

I bid you farewell, merciful virgin, holy Lucia. I hope that this humble prayer reaches you with the force of the scorching flames. Saint Lucia, powerful sovereign, attend our pleas with joy. She prays for us, holy mother of God, so that we may enjoy that heavenly paradise that Almighty God has prepared for all his faithful. Forever and ever. Amen.
