In addition, it was possible to conclude that the environment where such a scenario unfolds is engulfed in a hot cloud of dust and turbulent ionized gas. The conditions are therefore extreme and inhospitable, difficult for the community to imagine. These types of observations are key to understanding how stars form and evolve in complex environments.

The GAIA mission and its delimitation of the galaxy
