History of the Mystic Rose

The rose has been an ancient symbol steeped in mystery. In the 3rd century, Christians drew roses in the Catacomb of Saint Callistus to symbolize Paradise, and for Cyprian of Carthage, it was a symbol of martyrdom. By the 5th century, the rose was already a metaphorical symbol representing the Virgin Mary. The first to call the Virgin a Rose among Thorns was Aedulius Caelius. Four centuries later, a monk named Theophanes Graptos used a similar term to refer to Mary's purity and that her scent represented the fragrance emitted by the Virgin.

Likewise, Tertullian and Saint Ambrose use it as a representation to argue that King David's descendants are: the shoot is Mary and the flower is Christ. Throughout the Middle Ages, a prophecy by Isaiah was mentioned, in which it was established that a branch would emerge from the stump of Jesse, from whose roots a sprout would sprout, referring to Mary and Jesus. Similarly, we can find a similar reference in the Book of Wisdom.

We can see that since ancient times, and specifically in the early centuries of the development of Christianity, the rose was venerated in reference to the Virgin Mary. In the very ancient Eastern Church, we can find in the Akathist Hymn Paraclisis a rosary in the form of a chant in which the Virgin is invoked as "Mary, you Mystical Rose from whom Christ came forth as the miraculous perfume." For this reason, in the Litany of Loreto, dating from 1587, she was given the title of Mary Mystical Rose.

From the year 1738 in the sanctuary of Rosenberg in Germany, the veneration of the miraculous image of the Mystic Rose is made, there we can find the image on a pedestal in which you can see the three painted roses, white, red and golden, and around it a bright halo, you can see from right to left, 13 golden roses, which manifests as the representation of its honor every July 13.

For many, it is more than a coincidence, it is a providence, but her greatest devotion began with the apparitions that took place in Montichiari, Italy, but she was already present within the Catholic Church. Since the Marian invocations began, the Holy Virgin has manifested herself in a more frequent way and each time it is with more urgency.

The Marian era began with the apparition of the Virgin in the year 1830, in that year it was to Saint Catherine Labouré that she manifested herself in the invocation of the Virgin of the Miraculous Medal, since then she has become more frequent that she visits us with the motive of helping us and keeping us alert so that we can reach her son Jesus in an era in which technology addresses most of our lives, and people are straying from the path of God.

In every apparition since the Miraculous Medal, Lourdes, Pointman, Baneaux, Beaurang, La Salette, and Fatima, we can see the Virgin calling us to repentance, prayer, and penance. When she appears in Montichiari, she again makes her urgent call to all her children to pray, penance, and sacrifice. This is her message and her legacy. All her devotees must follow this path, which she has already marked out for us, the path for all of us to offer ourselves for others.

Montichiari means "Luminous Mountain" and is located in northern Italy, 20 kilometers from Brescia. A small town of only 14 inhabitants, it is a beautiful place near the Italian Alps, near the Po River in the Lombardy region. She chose Pierina Gilli to be the person in charge of seeing her, hearing her, and carrying her message. Each person who receives a grace of this kind experiences a path of roses and thorns. Her apparitions can be divided into three stages.

First Stage – Appearances 1944 – 1949

Before beginning to see and hear the Virgin, Pierina receives a visit from the founder of the Congregation of the Servants of Charity, at that time it was María Crucificado de la Rosa, she had entered the order as a postulant. She was already 33 years old and was a nurse, she fell ill with meningitis, and on December 17, 1944 she felt that the door of her room was opened and a nun entered who asked her how she was.

She replies that she felt a lot of pain in her head, the nun told her to take a small white cup that she had in her hands, that a lady had given it to her so that she could anoint her head, she told her that the pain would persist a little, but that he was to continue to carry an exposed cross, and that afterwards he would heal.

He told her to lie on her right side and placed what was in the glass on the area where she felt pain and on her head. The nun who entered her room was María Crucificada de la Rosa, the founder of the order who had already passed away, and that December day was the date of the order's founding.

What was in the glass was an oil that healed, and the lady who gave him the glass is nothing more than the Blessed Virgin Mary, the oil is one of the seals of the virgin to manifest her presence throughout her many appearances in different invocations, in their images they exude oil.

Pierina continued to see Saint Mary Crucified of the Rose, who gave her moments of distraction and strength during the various trials she still had to endure, as she was exposed to the Virgin's manifestations and the messages she left. After these apparitions or visions, others followed:

23th to 24th November 1945

The Virgin Mary appears for the first time with swords. Saint Mary Crucified was standing next to the Virgin. Pierina can see her transparent, wearing a violet dress and a white veil over her face that reached her feet. She held her arms open, where the swords could be seen stuck in her chest, right in her heart.

The saint presents her as the Virgin who came to ask people to make prayers, sacrifices and sufferings to repair the lack of sins in three categories of Souls consecrated to God:

• For all those religious souls who had betrayed their vocation.
• For those who had to repair the mortal sin of these souls.
• To repair the betrayal of the parents who had made themselves unworthy of what their Sacred Ministry means.

The 1 of June of 1947

Pierina has a new vision where she sees hell divided into three parts, three types of religious, consecrated souls and priests, who were part of the three swords and the three intentions to make prayers and sacrifices, Santa Maria Crucificado de la Rosa was next to the virgin who looked the same as the first time with her three swords in her heart.

The message given by Saint Mary Crucified was for the superior of the order, saying that the Virgin should be honored in that institution to make the formation of living roses, the idea was that three nuns would come out of each community to offer themselves as mystical roses. She gave the explanation of the colors:

• The White Rose was the spirit of prayer with which reparation should be made for all the injuries that had been done to God by nuns who had betrayed their vocation.
• The Red Rose was the spirit of sacrifice to make reparation for all the injuries that were done to God by those people who lived with mortal sin.
• The Yellow or Golden Rose was for the spirit of immolation to make reparation for the injuries that were done to God by the traitorous Priests, and for the sanctification of the priests.

He told them that the three roses were the ones that could make the three swords that were in the Heart of Mary and in the Heart of Jesus fall, it was a call particularly made for the religious, and for those who want to be their devotees, it is the a call that she makes as a mother to her children, the very offer to seek the good of others, especially of souls consecrated to God.

The 13 of July of 1947

The virgin appears with three roses on her chest, in a hospital, with white clothes and a cape of the same color from which a kind of silver rays came out. The cloak or cloak is attached to her neck with a hook, the cloak covered her to her feet, and brown hair could be distinguished on her forehead, the trim was embroidered in gold and she was presented as the Mother of Jesus and Mother of all humanity. .

With open arms he showed the three roses of white, red and almost golden yellow. She also said that God had sent her to make a new Marian devotion in male and female religious institutions, in all religious communities and among all priests, she promised that if she was venerated she herself would give them her protection and there would be a new awakening. in all religious vocations.

He asked her to make a Marian day on the 13th of each month with many prayers that were prepared 12 days before. On this day the reparations of offenses and injuries that had been done against the Lord by the consecrated souls and whose faults were piercing his heart and that of his son with the three swords should be made, on that day there would be an outpouring of blessings with abundance of graces and holiness in the vocations in all the institutes where they honor her.

The other wishes he made in this apparition were:

• That every July 13th she would be celebrated in the institutes and that in each of them there would be souls who had lived in prayer and that in this way no vocation would fall into betrayal. The white rose of the Virgin began to shine more when she said this wish.
• That there were other souls who lived with generosity and love, with sacrifice, who submitted to trials and humiliations and thus repaired the offenses that God received from those consecrated souls who were in mortal sin, the red rose shone before this desire.
• That other souls could sacrifice themselves to repair all the betrayals of Jesus by those priests who were treacherous, and the golden rose began to shine more in this desire.

Each soul that immolated herself would obtain for the heart of the virgin the sanctification of more ministers of God and rain of graces in the congregations, she began to smile and looked at the Blessed Sister Maria Crucificado, to whom she told her that she had chosen this institution , because its foundress who was by her side was from La Rosa and had given all her daughters and sisters the spirit of charity, and for that reason they appeared surrounded by a rosebush.

When Pierina asks her to give her a miracle she told her that she couldn't do an external one. That his greatest miracle would be when the consecrated souls of that time who had relaxed from their mission to the point of betrayal and who, with their faults and sins, would cease to do these offenses to our Lord and return again to the spirit of the Holy Founders. She there she is named as the Mother of the Church to which John Paul VI granted this title in the Second Vatican Council of 1964.

The 22 of October of 1947

It appears in the Chapel of the Montichiari hospital when mass was being celebrated with the doctors, the employees and the people who had family in the place, everyone felt a presence but the only one who could see and hear it was Pierina.

She asked that her devotion be practiced and that her son was already tired by the constant offenses, that she wanted to demonstrate justice, but that she placed herself as the mediator before men, especially for the souls that had consecrated themselves. They all thanked them and she said goodbye to her, giving the recommendation to live with love, especially for others, with sacrifices and immolation.

November 16, 1947

This day the virgin appears in the Cathedral of Montichiari, there she said that her divine son was tired of all the offenses that men committed through sins against purity and that he thought of sending a flood punishment. But that she was the intercessor for him to have mercy, so she asked everyone to pray and do penance to repair these sins, the more generous they are, the greater graces open for everyone.

The Virgin always spoke to Pierina so that she would give herself more and invited everyone to listen in her heart to the invitation she made, again she asks us to be more generous since a generous soul does not think of the good of her person but of that of others. others and that for this reason she could make greater sacrifices, since she never saw herself and did not want her own well-being, and that this call of the virgin would require people who wanted to be generous.

The November 22 of 1947

The virgin appears again in the Cathedral of Montichiari since in that place many conversions were going to take place, with sadness on her face she told them that the Christians of this time in Italy were the ones who made the most offenses to God, his son Jesus Christ, for their sins against purity, he again asked them for prayer and generosity in every sacrifice they made.

They ask her what they should do to fulfill her order of prayer and penance and she smilingly tells them that they should only pray, penance is to accept the pain in daily things, she promised to be back on December 8th at noon at a time that would be of great Grace, the light of her body became more intense and she asked them to give the information of her coming.

The hour of grace is a time when great things would happen and where there would be many conversions, souls that would not fall before evil, as cold as marble, that would be touched by divine grace to be in love and fidelity with God. He asked them to tell the Bishop of Brescia that to prepare himself he should pray three times a day, each day the Miserere Psalm with outstretched arms.

December 7, 1947

She appears for the third time in the Cathedral of Montichiari, with her white cloak open, on the right side of the cloak and holding it there was a child also in white with a ribbon on his forehead, and on the left side was a girl dressed the same as the child but with long hair that reached her back, resembling in appearance an angel.

The virgin told Pierina that much more prayer and being more generous in sacrifice was required on her part, and that the next day she would be there again so that she could see a piece of paradise, but that she had to keep her eyes closed to join them. the souls that live by faith. That day she would be able to see her immaculate heart of hers, which had almost never been seen by men.

In addition, she wanted her devotion to be to the Mystic Rose, which was united to her heart, and that it continue to be strengthened in religious institutions so that the souls of the people there could bring many Graces to her mother's heart.

Pierina asks her who the children who were by her side were and she told her that they were Jacinta and Francisco, who would be her companions in her moments of doubt, since they, like Pierina, had suffered, but they did when they were children. . Here she establishes her relationship to her appearance at Fatima and her messages:

• In both apparitions (Fatima and Montichiari) she showed her Immaculate Heart.

December 8, 1947

She goes down the stairs and says that because she had gone to Montichiari she wanted to be invoked and venerated with the Mystic Rose, that every December 8th the hour of grace be celebrated throughout the world and that with her devotion many graces would be obtained for him. soul and body.

That his divine son and Lord was granting the greatest of his mercies and those who were good should continue to pray for all sinful brothers. Pope Pius XII had to be informed that it was his wish that this hour of Grace be known and spread worldwide. And those who could not go to their church to pray at home at noon for their graces. He showed them his spotless heart which was full of love for men, while they only had insults in his mouth.

That if all the good and bad people managed to unite in prayer, they could obtain mercy and peace from her, that the good ones had already obtained through her the mercy of the Lord, thus avoiding a great punishment and that in a short time it would be known that this grace hour had been effective. The virgin began to move away from her and Pierina implored her, that she gave her thanks for her since she was the beautiful and beloved Mother of God.

He asked her to bless everyone: the Pope, the priests and nuns, and even sinners. She replied that she had prepared a great abundance of grace for all those who would listen to her and fulfill all that she had desired.

Waiting period for new Apparitions
After the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in the Cathedral ended on December 8, Pierina remained with the Franciscan Nuns of the Lily in Brescia, working as a nurse. She became very ill during this time, but she didn't want to become a nun, but rather to live in this convent, obediently following the advice of her spiritual father from the seminary.

Second Stage – Appearances 1960-1966

After spending all this time, Pierina saw the Virgin again on April 5, 1960. She told him that it was not yet time to reveal the mystery she had left him, and that she herself would tell him to pray, to invite other people to pray, to make reparation and many sacrifices so that men could be converted.

Then she appeared on December 6, 1961, and April 27, 1965, when the Second Vatican Council began and ended. In both apparitions, Pierina saw her holding a pale pink ball in her right hand, with the tip facing heaven, and inside it were many hands clasped. In her left hand, she held a ball of white light, and inside it was a church with a pointed bell tower and above it the word peace. Both balls were the Ecumenical Council to ask for prayers for peace throughout the world and the unity of humanity.

Apparitions at Fontanelle in 1966

Her relationship with Divine Mercy is established, as in her messages, Our Lady mentions how she frequently intervenes so that the Lord may grant us His mercy. With her apparition on April 17, 1966, she sheds further light on this matter. She chose the second Sunday of Easter, the Feast of Divine Mercy, to bless the spring of divine water that would become a source of Grace.

Through his heart full of mercy, Jesus tells us that he is the source from which comes the water and blood that give us salvation and redemption and it is through his beloved mother that this blessing is made to be a source of all and that it manages to spill into all humanity through its grace of redemption and love.

Her first appearance in Fontanelle, Pierina begins praying a rosary and walking to the fountain, it was noon when she begins to descend on her back, kneeling and the Virgin was following her, when on one of the steps she tells her that a crucifix should be placed there. She then told him that all the sick and children should ask Jesus for forgiveness, kiss the cross with love and then go get water from the fountain and drink it.

The Virgin came to the fountain and told Pierina to take mud in her hands and then wash them, as this showed that mud represents the sin and filth found in the hearts of her children, but that if they bathed in the water of grace, their souls would be pure and worthy of being friends of God. She told her that it was necessary to tell people about the desires of her Son Jesus, those she had communicated in 1947 and in the Cathedral of Montichiari. She wanted the sick and everyone to come to the fountain.

The 13 May 1966

She makes her second appearance at Fontanelle, on the day of the Fatima apparitions, at the fountain at 11:40 in the morning, 20 people were there, the Virgin tells Pierina that she wanted everyone to know of her coming to the fountain, Pierina She tells him how she will do it if people don't believe her or don't let her, she tells him that this is her mission. She told him that her Son Jesus was love, but that the world was being ruined, that she had obtained mercy from him and that is why she was going to Montichiari to deliver the graces of that love, but that for humanity to be saved she had to pray. , sacrifice and penance. She asked him to build a bath to the right of the fountain, that they feed themselves with the water from the fountain, and that the sick be immersed there, and towards the other side they place what was reserved for drinking the water.

Pierina asks her what name the fountain should have and the Mystical Rose told her Fountain of Grace, that her coming was to bring love, mercy and peace to the souls of her children, and so that they would not dirty the charity they were receiving.

The 9 of June of 1966

She makes her third appearance at Fontanelle, the Feast of Corpus Christi, there she said that on that day her divine Son Jesus Christ was sending her again on the feast of the Lord's body, a feast of unity and love, and that she wished that moment to become in a Eucharistic bread, in communions of reparation so that all the particles could arrive in Rome and on October 13 they would arrive in Fatima.

August 8, 1966

She makes her fourth appearance on the Feast of the Transfiguration, she said that her son again sent her to ask people for reparatory communion for October 13, that the news would be spread so that the initiative would begin that year and be repeated every year, and in that way that grain of sand would reach her favorite son Pope Paul VI to give blessing for his visit, in Brescia and that it would be said that her Son Jesus Christ desired the same as in Fatima.

In addition, with that grain contribution from Brescia, small loaves were going to be made and in one day they would be delivered to the fountain as a reminder that she had come, in order to thank all her children who worked the land. Later, when she ascends to heaven, she will always be the one who plays the role of mediator between men and her Divine Son, since there were many favors, many punishments, many conversions with souls, many visits made on earth to bring her messages.

But men continued to offend the Lord and that is why she wanted a union of the Holy Communion of Reparation to be made, as an act of love so that the children would recognize their Lord.

Last Stage – Apparitions 1969 – to the present day

As of May 15, 1969, on the day of Obedience and Feast of the Ascension, she said that obeying is the peace that comes from God, the opposite of it is the fight and the perdition of souls, which is why we should be imitators the example that his son had given, who humbled himself and was obedient to death on Calvary. She also told her that the Lord had sent her again to deliver the gift of love, that of the source of grace and the medal of her mother's love, that she herself would be intervening in the dissemination of the medal as a charity jewel. That her children should carry her in their hearts everywhere, and she promised to give them her motherly protection with many graces, especially at a time when her veneration was about to be destroyed. That medal would be the symbol of her children, who would always be with her in her role as Mother of the Lord and Mother of all humanity, for in this way universal love would triumph, so that the Lord's blessing and protection would be with all who turned to her.

The 17 of January of 1971

She asked all her children to pray the Holy Rosary, which was a ring of faith and enlightenment, a bond of unity, of glory, and of mediation for all who came to the source. Pierina had to tell them to pray the Holy Rosary. Since many people were living in darkness while she was appearing, her expressions in the heavenly Mother's eyes were filled with pain and concern.

She recommended to Pierina that she continue praying and that she help others to pray, since many of her children were in darkness, that there was no longer love for God and that the church of Jesus Christ was in a struggle, for that reason she was going to continue extending her mantle of love over the world since it was urgent to pray, to love and to say prayers for atonement since humanity was on the way to its ruin.

It was necessary for people to unite in prayer and love alongside the Lord, who felt abandoned and violated by his own children. Jesus Christ needs souls full of fidelity and energy, so that they can bear witness to the fact that his Divine Son had died on the cross, so that they can understand how much and how his heart was filled with love and mercy.

In the Celebration of the Feast of Christ the King, where Pierina tells the Virgin to tell her something about the image of the Pilgrim Virgin that was taken to Rome, she tells her that prayers have been made in those images and that she is united to her beloved son Pope Paul VI, father of the Church.

Today, thousands of images of Mary, the Mystical Rose, have been disseminated throughout the world, and in them lies her greatest request to humanity: to offer prayer, sacrifice, and penance for consecrated souls. Hundreds of reports have been given around the world of her image, with tears in her eyes and magical sparks emanating from the glory of God. The promise she gave Pierina regarding her images grows more real every day, wherever she is in those images. All of God's graces and His love are with her in her Mother's Heart.

Pierina Gilli's life

Born in Villa de San Jorge, Montichiari, Italy, Brescia Region on August 3, 1911, his father was Pancracio Gilli, and his mother Rosa Bartoli, both peasants who had 9 children who were raised in the poverty and very afraid of God.

Pierina always kept a diary where she wrote that she was the first of nine siblings, that she had the joy, happiness and affection of her beloved parents, that day of her birth was her dawn on earth, she was baptized on the 5th of August the day of our Lady of the Snows, her mother consecrated her to the Mother of Heaven so that she would protect her and keep her pure as snow. She led a childish life without any extraordinary events in her life.

At the age of 7, in the middle of the First World War, he suffers his first suffering in life when his father, who had become a soldier in the war, is taken prisoner. When he is released, his health is precarious and shortly after he dies in the hospital of the town. From 1918 to 1922 he had to go live in the orphanage of the Servants of Charity, where he was able to make his first communion when he was 8 years old.

At the age of 11, she returned to her mother's house. She had remarried and needed help taking care of her nine siblings. A year later, they had to move to a shack because poverty was so severe after the war, which caused the family to split up. At this time, she felt her first calling to lead a religious life.

At the age of 16, he went to work in a local, and began to go through various difficulties due to the vanity of life, but with the help of his father confessor he managed to get out of it and decided to lead a life for God. At 18 she begins to work in the community asylum giving assistance to children, a young man proposes to her but she knew that this would not be her vocation, but to follow God. At the age of 20, she already confirmed her vocation and she went to the convent of the Servants of Charity sisters. She, however, becomes ill with Pleurisy and she cannot be a postulant in the convent.

She went to the town of Carpenedolo, where she worked in the parish house alongside Father Giuseppe Brochini. Until the age of 26, she helped him with all the household activities. She then decided to work as a maid in Brescia, working in a nursing home. At 29, she began working at the Civil Hospital of Desenzano del Garda, alongside the Servants of Charity for four years. At 32, she again applied to become a postulant at the convent.

In 1944, already 33 years old and while in the convent, she became seriously ill again with meningitis, this is when the first appearances of the Virgin begin, the first stage from 1944 to 1949, where the Virgin tells her that she must live on love, that was his mission, and the years that followed were of many provocations and sufferings. In the year 1951, on August 8, Pope Pius XII receives her in the Holy See, then comes the long period of waiting from 1949 to 1960.

The second period of apparitions of the Virgin Mary began in 1960 and lasted for six years. In the final year of the apparitions, Pierina went to Fontanelle for the last time. She returned to Montichiari, to the Bosqueti neighborhood, where she continued to work on the mission entrusted to her by the Virgin Mary to the neediest and sick. During this time, she returned to live in Montichiari, in the Bosqueti neighborhood, where she faithfully carried out her mission among the suffering and needy.

For the year 1968 in the last stage of her apparitions that reach the year 1991, the Virgin tells Pierina that her mission is to do prayer and charity, love through forgiveness and divine charity, this is what she had lived ever since she appeared for the first time, she loved the Lord, the virgin and her fellow men, that is why she offered her life and her prayers for all the priestly and religious vocations to which she, due to her health, could not enter. She dies on January 12, 1991.

The Catholic Church, in this regard, has conducted various studies of what happened at Fontanelle in Italy and the apparitions to Pierina Gilli. They determined that these were not of divine origin, and that therefore there was no certainty that she could see and hear the Virgin Mary, much less certify her messages. The investigations reached a point where they ceased, and the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith also issued a verdict on the matter.

Furthermore, the Bishop of Brescia specifically requested that no further promotion be made that this was a genuine apparition and that believers not be led to believe that these events would be approved by the Church. Devotion was permitted not only in the place where the events occurred, but pilgrimages were also accepted, making it clear that the traditional devotion could be performed, giving Mary the title of Mystical Rose, as expressed in the Loreto litanies, which date back to the early centuries of Christianity, since this title had nothing to do with the aforementioned apparitions of the Virgin.

Therefore, no reference is made to these apparitions, messages, prayers, or any other phenomenon that Pierina Gilli claimed would be supernatural. Everything related to Pierina's experiences was considered personal and not supernatural, associated with the Virgin Mary, and to date, no evidence or clues have been found to the contrary. The Bishop of Brescia, Monsignor Luciano Monari, once stated that these prayers and messages did not have the approval of the Church.

The Frosts and Devotion to the Mystic Rose

The glittering frost on Catholic virgins or saints is not something frequently seen in Catholic Church events, but it has been closely associated with images of the Mystic Rose, one of the most widely followed Marian devotions today, whose principal visionary was Pierina Gilli, from the town of Montichiari in Italy.

This frosting consists of tiny sheets in the form of sequins or plaques, which appear on images of Our Lady of the Mystic Rose. They sparkle and spread all around the images. This phenomenon is not exclusive to Our Lady of the Mystic Rose but has also been seen in other devotions. For many people, this frosting is one of the ways in which the Virgin Mary reveals herself to her followers, and it has become very popular in recent years.

It has not only been reported in images that have to do with Marian devotions, but also in the bodies of deceased people and that they have an odor of sanctity, that is, a kind of fragrance or aroma of flowers emanates from them. There are also cases of frost appearing in people who are fervent prayers of the Holy Rosary, but this has not been able to be verified.

As it is a topic that causes controversy in people, there are those who truly believe in the phenomenon and are firm in their position that it is one of the signs of manifestation of the presence of the Virgin, as well as skeptics who really reject this opinion. because they do not believe that it is a phenomenon of God. Many of these phenomena have been studied by experts and have resulted in events set up by unscrupulous people just to take advantage of the innocence and faith of believers.

It is for this reason that the Catholic faithful are warned and are cautious with this issue. Saint Paul says it well in his Second Letter to Corinthians 11-14 that there was no need to be amazed or surprised because Satan could disguise himself as an Angel of light to deceive men. Currently there are thousands of images of the Virgin Mary Rosa Mystica all over the planet with her message that prayer, sacrifice and penance must be done for all consecrated souls, and in the same way there are reports of these images crying or releasing frost.

The Supposed Meaning of Frosts

Often, these events are mistaken for supernatural events, used for deception. Believers of good faith begin to spread this information, and the devotion is disseminated without any Church approval. Falling into sin requires not only committing evil deeds, but also committing them through negligence or omission. Since 1993, these frosty phenomena have increased worldwide, reaching levels and proportions that no one imagined and that cannot be ignored.

It is said that a priest gave the symbolism or meaning of the colors of these frosts, he claims that he received a message from the Virgin on September 23, 1999, in which the Virgin told him that in these times where men are full of satisfaction and have moved away from the one who guides and maintains them, who was Jesus Christ her Son, was manifesting himself with humility and that with his message she would give him the meaning of that frost.

She told them that she always protected her enlightened children, those who were bought by the blood of Jesus shed for us, and that it was through prayer, sacrifice, reconciliation, and penance that they were the tools used to fight the devil. The colors of the frosts mean:

• Silver: this color is to show how big your heart is and that you can ask for anything you want.
• Golden: with this color the Virgin places herself on the side of the weakest people, to heal the soul, body, mind and morals.
• Blue: it is so that we know that she is very close to us, that she is by our side and always present in all our moments.
• Green: they are the symbol of hope, and that she is going to act in favor of God and that we should wait for him.
• Rojas: tells us that the times ahead are difficult and that we must offer her sacrifice while remembering that she loves us immensely.
• Transparent: they are the way to humbly follow the path that leads us to be free, we must be humble and simple since those are the attitudes that his heart expressed.
• Aquamarine: indicates the path which, however hard it may be, announces that she will always be by our side.

Frost Scientific Study

Various studies were carried out on the frost, the first of which was at the request of Sister María Clara, the Superior of the Servants of Jesus, who is located in Carrizal, Miranda State, Venezuela. Engineer Padrón was the one who brought the frost to the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). He knew many people in the engineering faculty of this institution who could help carry out the study.

It was the Laboratory of Special Studies of the School of Mechanical Engineering that agreed to carry out the analysis based on scientific research.

These investigations of the frosts of the Virgen de la Rosa Mystica de Carrizal were studied twice by the Central University of Venezuela, the results of both studies were as follows:

observation with the naked eye
To make the difference between a religious glitter and another that is of an industrial type. The difference between is that the religious type has more quantity in the shades and in its color. The green industrial type frost, for example, has three shades, in the religious frost seven different shades of green have been found.

Religious type frosts are thinner, less heavy, have their own shine and do not cause the sensation of being dazzled when the light falls on it and hits our eyes. They adhere to any type of surface and cannot be easily removed or torn off, they also have two faces, one face and one back like the leaves of plants. Industrial glitters are thicker, they are rough, their luminosity is not their own but chemically adhered and they dazzle with any type of light, they are not adherent and their two faces are completely the same.

Observation under Microscope
When the frost was subjected to direct observation under a light optical microscope, without any prior treatment, several substantial differences were found. Religious frosts have on one side a presence of protozoa or algae that vary in colors from green to blue and also various fungi, air pockets, water and crystal, which felt were static, that is, they had no activity and seemed to have a fossil character.

The industrial frosts could be observed that their two faces are the same and do not have the presence of protozoa, fungi or algae, in addition that they do not present any type of organic material in them.

Observation with an Electron Microscope
This method is sweeping without treatment and it was possible to appreciate that the religious glitters are not of the metallic type, for this reason they cannot be seen if they are not covered with gold, since silver does not work, so that with this it can be done the release of secondary electrons which are needed so that they can be seen in the electron microscope. In addition, it was shown that they have a laminar structure, and those that have bubbles end up breaking due to vacuum when subjected to this type of microscope and their edges appear solid.

The industrial glitters are half the thickness of the religious glitters, they are made of plastic and you can see the cut on the edges made with a machine, this functional cut like fingerprints, since they are not solid and therefore break when they are in the action of the shocks of the microscope electrons.

Observation of frosts with chemical treatment
Once the frosting was subjected to various chemical treatments such as nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and distilled water, no differences were found with these chemicals, but when they were subjected to the effect of isopropyl alcohol, it was noted that the religious frosting did not discolor, and the industrial frosting discolored by 75%.

They were also subjected to a chemical treatment with nital, a combination of nitric acid and alcohol. In this treatment, the religious frostings remained unchanged, while the industrial frostings became completely discolored, lost size, and developed pores, marks, and air bubbles. The religious frostings remained unchanged after the sodium hydroxide treatment, while the industrial frostings shrank in size.

With the tests in hydrofluoric acid, which was the most important of all, since in this treatment the religious frosting also did not suffer any alteration in its composition, while the industrial ones ended up disappearing due to the action of the acid, in this last of the tests it was demonstrated that the religious frosting has no metal, is not made of plastic, mica, or resins and it was also not possible to determine what material they are made of.

The last chemical test was with propylene oxide, in which it was shown that industrial frosts corrode because they are metallic, and this was not the case with religious frosts.

Observation of frosts with thermal procedure
This consisted of subjecting them to the heat of the flames and combustion, in them it was achieved that the religious frosts suffer a small discoloration but increase their brightness without giving off any type of odor. While the industrial ones completely lose their color, they lose brightness and give off an ocher odor that causes irritability in the throat and eyes of people.

In general, the scientific difference in frost makes it clear that this frost phenomenon of the Virgin of the Mystic Rose of Carrizal, Venezuela, should not be viewed with mockery or laughter, nor should it be taken lightly.

The case of House 22
A study was conducted by the Center for Sociocultural Research of Venezuela in the house at 22 Comercio Street, in Plaza Sucre, Caracas, Venezuela, owned by the González Acosta family, where a series of hierophanic events began to manifest on November 7, 1999. In the same house there was a Virgin of the Mystic Rose, which was on a pedestal on a wall of the living room, when frost sprang up and fell on Mrs. Flor González's face, hands and almost her entire body.

She was placing some flowers in her image, the roses also had frost on them, when the family went out to see they were also impregnated with this frost.

Several samples of the lady's frost were taken with a piece of transparent plastic tape, they were preserved, the lady washed her skin and frost came out again, and from that moment on all the images in prints of different Catholic saints that are placed in the virgin are filled with this mysterious dew of frost.

This phenomenon occurred from 1999 to 2000 and began to diminish as people began praying rosaries to the Virgin of the 22nd house more frequently. In other words, the phenomenon stopped manifesting itself more frequently once more time was devoted to praying in this house, both by those who lived there and by those who came from outside. The message that was interpreted was that the Virgin was requesting more prayer, and when this happened, she stopped manifesting herself.

To this day, Mrs. Flor González continues to fill with frost in certain parts of her body, especially on November 17 and 27, March 7, May 31 and December 8, all dates that are important for the Virgin Mary. . It was also noted that the children who went to the house were filled with this frost to a greater extent than the adults.
