Generosity in the Bible

Zacchaeus
Zacchaeus is a very rich man, the chief tax collector. He seems like he's not very honest. However, one day he found out that Jesus would pass through Jericho, where he lived. He longed to see Jesus, so much that he was short; he was willing to climb a tree to see Jesus.
As Jesus passed by, he saw Zacchaeus and decided to live with him. Others didn't see him that way, but Jesus knew that Zacchaeus was willing to accept him into his home and into his heart. How did Zacchaeus's perspective change? It showed that his encounter with Jesus was genuine through justice and generosity. The Bible says:
But Zacchaeus said firmly: Look, Lord: at this time I will give half of my properties to the most needy, if for any reason I harm someone, I will give them my money multiplied four times.
What is Jesus' response? Jesus said, "Today's salvation comes to this house" (Luke 19:9). After accepting the redemption, Zacchaeus's heart showed much kindness and thus he was more tolerant and benevolent towards others.

Temporal limitations do not mean spiritual limitations
