2Pac, Notorious BIG, Eazy-E, Nipsey Hussle, Mac Miller, Lil Peep, XXXTentacion… Unfortunately, the list of rappers who left us early is too long to mention them all. And today it gets bigger with the death of Juice Wrld. The same week in which we were able to listen to the second posthumous album by XXX Temptation, another very young promise of American rap has died in a totally unexpected way.

Juice Wrld, 21, died in the early hours of Sunday from a sudden seizure at Midway Chicago airport (his city of birth) after a flight from California, according to the US media. TMZ (known for the habit of having reporters practically living in the terminals of American airports).

In 2019, Juice Wrld released the EP too soon with two tribute songs in memory of Lil Peep (21 years old) and XXXTentacion (20 years old). Today, sadly, Juice Wrld has joined this sad list of deceased young rappers.

Juice Wrld: A Lightning Rise

Juice Wrld debuted in 2018 with his first album Goodbye & Good Ridedance. It is here where we can find his most recognized song: Lucid Dreams. Su second studio album, Death Race for Love would arrive only a year later, achieving the feat of positioning itself at the top of the Billboard chart of the 200 best albums. In this work Juice Wrld recorded what would be his last hit in life with YoungBoy Never Broke and the single bandits. In just two years, Juice Wrld managed to place a total of 25 songs in the Billboard Top 100.

Among the list of most successful songs of Juice Wrld we find, with 390 million clicks on Youtube, Lucid Dreams, Armed & Dangerous (120 million views) or robbery with 120 million. All Girls Are the Same also enjoyed significant success after Juice Wrld had  Lil Yachty on the remix.

Another rapper from the Soundcloud quarry

Like 6ix9ine and so many other rappers, Juice Wrld began to make a name for himself in the rap scene thanks to the music platform Soundcloud. It was there that in 2015 he began to upload the material (including EP Juice WRLD 999). The EP was so successful that it caught the attention of record label Interscope (Jimmy Iovine & Dr.Dre), with which he signed a contract with an estimated value of three million dollars in June 2018.

Juice Wrld had always shown boundless enthusiasm when it came to making music. The young rapper was finalizing the preparations for a third album which, as we read in Forbes, intended to release before the end of 2019. The American media points out that the rapper confessed to having around a thousand songs recorded, so it is quite clear that, as is happening with XXX Tentación, Juice Wrld's posthumous career promises to be fruitful.

Rest in peace.
