Etymology

The meaning of this word when translated into Guarani, results in "long nose", on the one hand this "coa" which means long and on the other hand, there is ti which means nose, this etymology as can be seen refers to this trait characteristic of the Nasua.

Distribution

As indicated in previous segments, they can live in different countries of the American continent, more exactly it is common to get it in the southern part of the United States; but not only there, but it can also be seen in some places in Paraguay located to the southwest, in the provinces of Argentina and much more.

Features

Habit

They have many arboreal abilities, when walking they support the whole foot; if they are in places where there is a lot of fruit they will eat fruit, also if they get insects they will consume them, but their diet is considered omnivorous, consuming chicks and their eggs. They are very social, so they are rarely seen alone; they gestate in approximately two months, the litter is usually from two to six members.
