Huelva is preparing to experience a day that will go down in the local newspaper archives. Magna Mariana will bring together thousands of people around an exceptional procession of images from all over the province, with an organization designed to ensure enjoyment in safety and without missing a detail.
With an eye on the September 20 (Saturday), the Diocese of Huelva and the City Council have coordinated an unprecedented deployment that includes an official race, detailed schedules, mobility devices and extensive media coverage, all with a a purely pastoral and heritage approach.
Date, meaning and framework of the celebration
The extraordinary procession is held on Saturday September 20, within the framework of the Jubilee Year of Hope called by Pope Francis, as a sample of wealth and diversity of the Marian heritage of the province of Huelva.
The quote inevitably refers to the great procession of 1954, when Huelva commemorated the Marian Holy Year and the creation of its Diocese with a multitudinous procession, a historical antecedent of the current call.
Official route, access and key times
The common route starts from the Nuns Square and continues along Martín Alonso Pinzón Avenue (Gran Vía) to the Point Square, a route of no more than 500 meters that is expected to be completed in about 65 minutes for each delegation.

Order of passage and particularities of the procession
The order on the Gran Vía is governed by the antiquity of coronations in decreasing order. Although the first crowned of the diocese was the Virgin of Montemayor (Moguer), due to organizational criteria, the procession will close Virgin of the Ribbon, patron saint and perpetual mayor of the capital.
