The second season of Maestros de la Costura Celebrity has a winner. Beatriz Luengo took home the glass mannequin after a thrilling final against her co-star from 'Un paso adelante', Silvia Marty. The singer and actress, who started as one of the least experienced contestants, managed to win over the judges with a design full of symbolism and emotion.
The gala, broadcast on La 1, brought together the four finalists: Beatriz, Silvia, Mario Vaquerizo, and Pau Echániz. After the first challenge, Silvia won the first jacket and a direct pass to the final duel, while Beatriz secured the second after a bridal challenge at the Hacienda Jacaranda. Mario and Pau just missed out, but not before creating some memorable moments.
A heart-stopping final

The first challenge of the program was dedicated to Valentino, with Naty Abascal as a special guest. The four apprentices had to create a look inspired by the Italian designer, and it was Silvia who shone brightest with a dress that impressed the judges. Luis de Javier didn't hesitate to praise her: 'You've done a great job; your progress has been incredible.'
Next came the bridal challenge. The three finalists traveled to the Hacienda Jacaranda to recreate wedding dresses by designers such as Andrés Pozuelo, Alicia Rueda, and Juan Vidal. Pau Echániz, who had forgotten her fabric at the haberdashery, managed to recover, but it was Beatriz who won the second jacket . "What a wonderful gown!" she exclaimed excitedly.
The UPA duel

The final duel pitted two friends who knew each other very well against each other . Beatriz and Silvia shared four years on 'Un paso adelante' (One Step Forward), and that history was palpable. Yotuel, Beatriz's husband, was present and recalled that 'what began on 'Un paso adelante' became a family'. Alfonso Bassave, a friend of Silvia's, also came to support her.
In addition, Pilar Rubio visited the set and confessed that sewing is now a part of her life. There was also a tribute to Valentino, with Naty Abascal as the muse, and journalist MarÃa Fernández Miranda as a special guest.
The final designs

Beatriz presented a black party dress made of silk crepe and guipure lace, adorned with feathers, bows, and handcrafted flowers. Every detail had a meaning: the neckline symbolized letting go of a burden, the flowers represented the support of her colleagues, and the side slit evoked freedom. Embroidered on the label was her mantra: 'What if yes?'
Silvia, for her part, opted for a more sensual design, with silk crepe satin and chiffon godets, as well as chain straps with a pearl at the coccyx. The jury appreciated the elegance of both designs, but ultimately chose Beatriz . Lorenzo Caprile highlighted the choice of fabric and the proportions, although he noted that there wasn't enough time to refine the slit.
A victory for solidarity
Holding the glass mannequin in her hands, Beatriz didn't hesitate to announce that the €50.000 prize money would go to Oxfam Intermón to help the victims of the DANA storm in Valencia. This gesture was applauded by everyone present and provided a fitting end to a very special edition of the competition.
The final, broadcast during prime time, achieved a 9,4% share and 521.000 viewers , making it the least-watched final in the show's history. Even so, the season averaged a 10,1% share and 571.000 viewers, peaking at 17,2% for the premiere after the World Cup. The program has demonstrated that sewing also has a place on summer television.
Thus ended an edition marked by good vibes , reunions, and personal growth. Beatriz Luengo takes the title, but all the apprentices leave with an unforgettable experience. Sewing, fashion, and television came together on a night that will remain in the memory of the show's fans.
